Today we celebrate Julian the Martyr of Tarsus

John 17:18-26

If people are alive, if they eat bread, if springs give forth water, if the sun shines on everyone, and the moon traverses the sky, then it is only because the Divine Liturgy is served. If it were not served, fire from heaven would have fallen on our heads long ago due to our lawlessness. Long ago we would have rooted away from our falls into the passions and we would have suffocated the abyss of worldly cares.
